Fire at Richfield Court Apartments displaces one family
03/19/2009
Flint, MI - A kitchen fire around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday displaced one family at Richfield Court Apartments on Richfield Road in Flint.

Flint fire Lt. Kwame Hogan said the fire started around the stove, but was put out by residents with a fire extinguisher by the time firefighters arrived. The small blaze caused smoke to fill the apartment complex and two ventilation fans were used by firefighters to clear the smoke out.

No one was injured.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, officials said.
